The challenge
During my tenure at Openbank, my colleague Alejandro García and I were selected to lead the design for the launch of Open Digital Services (ODS), a technology subsidiary of the group. Unlike the core banking projects, this initiative required a fast-track approach: we needed to build a corporate identity and a functional website from scratch in record time.
My role
Working hand-in-hand as a unified team, we bypassed traditional waterfall methodologies and adopted a lean collaborative model. We moved directly from conceptualization to high-fidelity design, creating a modern, tech-focused interface that effectively showcased the new company’s services, all while balancing our ongoing responsibilities at the bank.
Key Achievements
Rapid Prototyping: Executed a high-velocity design process, moving from concept to final UI in a compressed timeline.
Visual Identity: Defined the visual language for this new subsidiary, ensuring it felt distinct yet professional.
Asset Coordination: Partnered closely with the Graphic Design team to align visual assets, creatives, and brand logos, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across the site.
Agile Collaboration: Worked in a strict "pair design" setup with Alejandro García, making real-time decisions to prioritize visual impact and delivery speed.
